Born and raised in Forest Grove, Oregon, Ethan picked up guitar for the first time at the age of nine and has been obsessed with music and playing guitar ever since. His passion for writing music led him to teaching his first guitar lesson in 2014 to his neighbor. Since then, he has taught hundreds of students of varying ages and learning-styles in numerous music stores and music schools. Ethan plays and teaches many different genres including acoustic styles, fingerstyle guitar, and also rock and metal genres on electric. As a songwriter, his passion is helping people create their own music with the help of music theory. He also plays music actively and you may see him playing guitar with his local metal band in Portland.
